6 Months of living in Pahrump:
Over 6 months have passed since I have been living and breathing in ever sweet Pahrump, Nevada
My move to Pahrump is still proving to be exciting and has brought new vigor to my life. More closer to 8 months of living here, has been hectic, heart wrenching and superbly pleasureable. Things are slowly coming together in my life here. I drive to work in Las Vegas 5 days a week. It's only an hours drive and I am finding it well worth the effort. Unfortunately I have seen many rollovers in the travels to and from Las Vegas from Pahrump including fatalities. The road is pleasant and 2 lanes each way but it is a dangerous road, no shoulder, etc., but maybe fatigue plays a big part of the accidents. Anyway,I laugh at all the idiots living there in Las Vegas with the crowds, congestion and traffic. I am out of the fish bowl and looking IN to what was once my beloved Las Vegas. (Almost 40 years living there) Seems like every road in Vegas is being worked on and restricted or repaved or there is an accident. Quit a change from when I first moved there. Oh Well......... Accidents, shootings, etc., have become very common place is beautiful SIN CITY. NO MORE! Pahrump is soothing and there are some minor downfalls but nothing really drastic in changes. The hospital is finally being built out here. So onward we go in my new home town of Pahrump. Country living at its best. Retirement is still in my future but I want to stay working and enjoy my leisure time here.
