--=BIRTH OF A SAND/DESERT CAR, Welding Underneath N Torque Rods=--
UnderNeath The Frame
To make welding the underside easier, the car is turned on its side. I removed the seats and used
my engine hoist......But, before I did, I ground the upper shock mounts down to size, made
and installed adjustable limiting strap mounts and straps. Also the throttle pedal is mounted.
I rolled it out of the garage one more time for a look......
It was hooked onto my engine hoist and we flipped it on its side. There is NO oil in the 3rd member so it should be alright.
It will be alot easier to weld the underside of the frame this way. Also the torque bracing
rods were cut, bent and notched. Seen laying on the bottom of the hoist.
Bracing will also be installed to them....
