--=BIRTH OF A SAND/DESERT CAR, Frame Bracing and VW Front End=-

Bracing the Frame and VW Front End Angle bracing the frame is needed for strength. A tight fit at an angle is tough to do and a pain in the butt to cut and fit. But it must be done.

I bought a rack and pinion steering box along with steering shaft, u-joints, spline inserts, steering wheel and other goodies. I planned on building my own swing arm front end..... But a friend at work had a rebuilt VW front end with new Centerline Rims and tires. I couldn't pass up the deal. A lot of time would be saved and I could always convert to swing arm front end later if it didn't work out.....

So, I bought it!

I set it in place and it looked pretty good. So I'm going to mount it and try it....

Next is some rear tires and rims. Soon I should have a rolling chassis!!!!
