Please note, that I will be moving from Las Vegas,Nevada to Pahrump,Nevada in Nov. 2003. And ALL projects have been put on hold. Moving is my priority. It's about an hours drive over Mt. Potosi. Las Vegas, Nevada has become so congested with people. Gridlock is everywhere! After living here for 40 years, this oasis in the desert now disgusts me. What once was an oasis in the desert, which I deeply loved, has now become a shit hole because of people from California(Land Of Fruits And Nuts!) and other states who move here. I am outta here. It's not the tourist's but the friggin people MOVING here.
My God, the politicians are crying water shortage and drought, yet they will not curtail growth in this town. For 30 years I've petitioned the Clark County politicians about exploding growth but it falls on deaf ears.
My move to Pahrump is proving to be exciting and has brought new vigor to my life. I will be 1 mile from a huge dry lake and there are very few people who live around me. I will be able to fly my RC Planes from my back yard. ATV's, Dune Buggies and Sand Rails are next. I will be be building my own sandrail frame. It will will be a mid engine 350 Chevy rail with a Ford Thunderbird IRL 3rd member and suspension. A 4 wheeler, ATV is also on the agenda. Yamaha is my prefernce having raced in MRAN Desrt Association for 10 years. More info and pics to come shortly.
Plus in less than a year I plan on securing my Union Pension(Local 631).
Retirement. Ahhhhh, Retirement.. Nothing to do but drink beer, fly my RC stuff, play with my grandchildren, build my sandrail, look through my telescope, no WORK and have fun... And AWAY from the hectic life here in Las Vegas, Nevada. At 57 years old I am looking forward to it. I will finally be able to find time to fly my RC planes I have bought and built. Peace of life is soon forthcoming(may GOD permit) after 35 years of hardwork as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. I fix the BIG rigs!!!!... Praise the LORD!
Well! As usual, a monkey wrench has been thrown into this. Here it is now Jan. 2004 and still no word on final closing. A construction loan was approved and the house was built, but now for some reason things have stalled with the financing ACK! But here are some pics for you anyway.! Below is the vacant corner lot I bought in May of 2003. It is the best of the best as far as I'm concerned for a place to build a house and retire.
