Pahrump Valley Airport
Pahrump, Nevada

80 miles west of Las Vegas, Nevada over Mt. Potosi lies the rural town of Pahrump, Nevada. Pahrump Valley Airport is an interesting place to visit. There is No control tower. But there is a paved runway and taxi way. Windsock and hangars. Below are some pictures I have taken on my latest visit to this quiet secluded town's airport. Quite a different site from bustling Las Vegas's McCarren or North Las Vegas airport's. Pahrump Valley airport is a site to behold. Almost like a time warp, stepping into the past!

Some of the aircraft here are experimental. The location of this "field" is the way aviation was many years ago.

Above this aircraft taxi's to the end of the runway and turns around for takeoff. All pilots landing and taking off are required to monitor a certain frquency and let there intentions be know over the radio and fly/use Visual Fligh Rules (VRF).
